Apollo
Photo booth software you can hire with a booth or license outright.
Apollo runs every booth we put on the road. Hire it inside a pack, or take a single-use perpetual licence and run it on your own hardware. It is not an app you download; it is a booth platform we configure with you.
What it does
What Apollo does
The same engine under every booth. A new deployment is settings, not a rebuild.
Capture
Photo and video with a countdown, a preview and a retake. One camera as standard; several on a Bespoke build.
Branding
Screens, a set of frames the guest picks from, corner overlays and bookend clips on video, all set per campaign.
Delivery
QR code at the booth, email or SMS. Emails can go from your own sending domain.
Consent and data
Capture fields and consent wording per campaign. Every entry exports as CSV.
Control
A control panel our crew reach over the booth’s own private network: LED presets, music and volume, idle state and a live camera check before doors open.
Monitoring and reporting
Each booth sends a heartbeat, and each campaign reports emails sent, voucher codes sent and QR codes scanned.
The guest flow, seven screens
This is the sequence a guest meets. Step four is the only one that can be switched off for an event.
Configured, not rebuilt
Screens, flow, branding and delivery are settings. The engine underneath is the same one every other booth runs.
Queued processing
Media is processed in a queue, so capture never waits on rendering and the line keeps moving.
Data by design
Capture, consent and export are part of the platform rather than something bolted on at the end of a build.
It tells you it stopped
Each booth sends a heartbeat. If one goes quiet we know, and so do you.

Two ways to have it
Hired in a pack, or licensed for your hardware
Hired inside a pack
Every Hardware Pack, Totem, Immersive and Bespoke hire includes Apollo, configured and tested before it leaves us.
See the packsSingle-use perpetual licence
One deployment, on your own hardware, for as long as you run it. The hardware spec is the same as our Hardware Pack: Raspberry Pi compute, a camera, a 4G router and a touchscreen or tablet. We configure the flow and the branding with you and support the go-live.
Integrations
Built to sit inside a bigger experience
A booth is often one part of a stand, a tour or an installation. Because we own the software and build the hardware, we can wire it into the rest.
Remote triggers
Start a session from a button on the stand, from our remote control panel, or from a signal we wire in from the rest of the experience. One of our booths runs on a remote start today.
Remote control
Every immersive booth carries a control panel our crew reach over the booth’s own private network: LED presets, music and volume, idle state, and a live camera check before doors open.
Sensors and physical inputs
Physical buttons are standard. Other inputs are wired to the brief. We have driven external effects hardware from a booth mid-campaign, and the wider studio builds sensor-led installations.
Lighting, sound and effects
Each button can set an LED colour and start a playlist. External effects rigs are connected on request.
Data out
Every campaign reports emails sent, voucher codes sent and QR codes scanned, and exports as CSV from the admin. Photos and videos land in cloud storage you can be given access to. Tracked QR codes can also be generated for exterior branding and other sign-up routes, so a scan on the stand is counted alongside a share from the booth.
One team
The person wiring the input sits next to the person writing the code that reads it, so an integration is a conversation, not a handover.
FAQ
Software, answered
Is it an app I can download?
No. Apollo is supplied configured on booth hardware, or as a licensed installation for a specified hardware spec. There is no app store version.
What hardware does it need?
Raspberry Pi compute, a camera, a 4G router and a touchscreen or a tablet as the screen, which is the Hardware Pack. Anything beyond that, such as LEDs, buttons, speakers or several cameras, is built to the brief.
Does it need venue wifi?
No. Each booth carries its own 4G router. Media is processed in a queue, so capture never waits on rendering and the line keeps moving.
How do we get the data out?
CSV export from the admin, cloud storage you can be given access to for every photo and video, and API access to exports scoped per project.
What does a licence cost?
It depends on the deployment. Tell us the hardware, the flow and how long it runs and we will quote within a working day.
Licence or hire
Tell us what you want to run
Your hardware or ours, the flow, the branding and where it is going. We will come back with the shape and a price.
Early days? A name, an email and a rough month is enough. We reply from studio@apexlstudios.com, usually within one working day.
